So you want to get that shed built, but don’t know where to start, maybe you think it is to much money, some are simple, some more complex, and the technical keeps you from starting. While most sheds layouts are usually simple, parts such as the roof can be a challenge if you would like something unique or different.
I’m sure you have something in mind, a place to put yard tools and a lawnmower for sure, and anything else you don’t want in the house, Maybe it is that cool riding lawnmower you just bought and suddenly you need a mini garage. A work bench on the side to get the tools out of the garage or maybe you only have a carport with no secure storage and need a place to put them.
The practicality of an additional structure in your yard to take care and organize the outside stuff is such a no brainer, except you thought you may have to have someone build it for you, and that is more money than you want to pay.
Maybe your just tired of that old metal kit shed that is leaking, rusty and you hit your head on the door frame every time you go in. I imagine the floor is no good either unless it’s on cement. Been there myself.
I’ve been in the building and construction business for about 30 years and I’ll let you in on a little secret, most jobs are usually about 15-25% materials, of total bid, some jobs even less, the rest is labor, time is money and this is how builders earn their money and rightly so, and this is where you save money.
So with the right instructions and a little handiness, and a lot of motivation to see a project completed, you can save nearly 80% on your shed project, it really does not matter your skill level.
Maybe you have already spent 100′s of dollars on a project that is still not finished, underestimated time and energy needed, ready to throw in the towel with your wife asking if your project is done yet? You are really at a point of needing some direction and clear instruction to bail you out.
Or, if you haven’t started yet, you may be hung up on type of foundation, style of the structure, roof design, electrical needs, how to hang the doors properly, install windows, so you just scaled your project back in your mind to maybe just an upgraded version of the old metal shed.
This is where My Shed Plans shines, it not only lays it all out for you on the how to do it, it also gets you thinking out of your box and offers great design and style ideas that would look really great in the yard and helps you to realize you can build something more than a simple shed if you wish.
Don’t put if off, at least have a look at what My Shed Plans can do to help you get it done.
